On the occasion of the exhibition Picturing Place in Japan, the P.Y. and Kinmay W. Tang Center for East Asian Art and the Princeton University Art Museum will host an interdisciplinary panel exploring the concept of place from the perspectives of art, art history, literature, and photography. Speakers include: Leila Philip ’86, writer, poet and educator; Lois Conner, photographer of landscapes; Karl Kusserow, John Wilmerding Curator of American Art at the Art Museum; and Andrew Watsky, Professor of Japanese Art and Director of the Program in East Asian Art and Archaeology and of the Tang Center.
